Brief and goals
Support Dubai Police in the realization of an awareness campaign about the effects of drug abuse on individuals and society through Pepper, the first humanoid social robot distributed in Italy and in the Middle East by Softec / Yas Digital Media, here as a “humanoid volunteer”.
In a scenario where robots are increasingly present in the daily life of the human being, Pepper’s role is strategic to completely reinterpret the relationship and interaction with people.
Technology becomes an empathic and emotional tool, acting as a support
to society issues and reaching even the most diverse and difficult audience, teenagers.
YAS Digital Media (Softec) has created an application in close collaboration with the Dubai Police psychologists that contains useful information, grounded on a scientific basis and presented in an approachable way.
The app is powered by Orchestra Robotics BMS that, thanks to its extremely easy and user-friendly interface, allows to modify any content.
“Amal The Volunteer”
In the guise of Amal, that means hope in Arabic, Pepper works as a young humanoid volunteer that joined Dubai Police to offer support and empathy to adults and teenagers.
A unique, sensitive “spokesrobot” that can appeal to a varied public of young and grown-ups in different contexts, such as schools and shopping centers, offering information and spreading awareness about the serious risks related to drug use.
